River Tours at Banana Bank
Meander on the peaceful Belize River with your tour guide. You can stay aboard the entire trip on the boat mounted with an outboard engine or get dropped off upstream and float back down on river tubes. Either way your guide will be pointing out plants and wildlife in their natural habitat. This tranquil excursion along the river will keep photographers busy snapping digital images of the active beauty on the lush green riverbank.
Our eagle – eyed guide will point out iguanas (Green and Spiny-tailed), Black Howler Monkeys, and tropical birds fluttering and feeding on the branches of the trees and shrubbery. Flocks of Mangrove Swallows skim across the water in search of water bugs while herons watch patiently for movement in the water. Tiny insect-eating bats perch on the trunks of wide fig trees. Some days you may see fresh-water turtles or Morelet’s Crocodiles sunning on a downed tree or on the river bank.
